The Turncloak and The Warlock (Dungeon World Playbooks)

Two playbooks for Adam Koebel and Sage LaTorra's game, Dungeon World. Designed by me (Ben Rosenbloom) and Trevor Murray for our collection, Incomplete Adventurer.

The Turncloak has betrayed their evil original cause, and now fights for revenge. Playing as the Turncloak gives you a few knobs to turn when building the world or the perfect playbook for when you die but your party rescued a goblin who's ready for the limelight. In addition to moves from their villainous background, the Turncloak experiments with bonds, turning them into weapons against the enemy, or faultlines across which your party might shatter.

The Warlock has tied themselves to an entity of power, their patron, in exchange for a small portion of that power. The Warlock is a spellcaster, with an odd assortment of debilitating and devastating spells, and the ability to shunt leftover magical energy into eldritch blasts.
